I have been a hot rod guy since a kid. One car I have always wanted was a 1936 Chevrolet 5 Window Coupe that was ready to go. I found one that was close to my dream car on Classic Car Store’s website. All steel body built from the ground up as a Pro-Touring car and built right. Jim was very helpful, specific and told me the good and bad about the car. I decided to buy it, bought a one-way ticket from Oklahoma to Birmingham, AL. I hoped the car was what it was supposed to be. Jim picked me up at the Airport and took me to the Owner, an elderly gentleman in a small country town. The car was everything represented, much nicer than I expected. After getting the banking handled I made a road trip back home to Oklahoma stopping and seeing a couple of friends on the way back. Not one problem with the car. Overall it was an excellent experience, especially when you are buying a car from photos and getting information from someone you don’t know. If you want a straight shooter when buying a Classic Car, Jim is the man. Thank you, DF-OK

Everything has gone great on the 1970 Dodge Charger RT.  Once the transport dropped it off, we are getting it ready to ship to Sweden and the buyer in Sweden is so excited and he can’t wait to get it.  Thank you for your help in making this transaction possible.  We have other international buyers looking for all kinds of vehicles, so let’s stay in touch.  Thanks again and it was a pleasure working with you.

"I've known Jim Lowrey for almost 30 years and have always respected him as the most knowledgeable and experienced person I knew when it came to cars. Buying cars through Jim has made the process literally a breeze!  Even more important to me than his expertise is his honesty and integrity. I would recommend Jim to anyone wanting to buy or sell a car!"  MG, AL

Hey Jim, I got the ’70 SS 454 yesterday.  It made the trip on the transporter just perfect.  It has been raining so I haven’t been able to get it out to drive yet, but hopefully tomorrow.  It is a beautiful car and some of my neighbors and friends can’t quit talking about it.  Thanks for your hospitality when I flew down to look at the car.  I am glad it was like you said and I think we both ended up pleased.  I definitely will refer you if any of my friends are looking for a classic car.  Thanks again.  JS, MA

Description
1953 Mercedes-Benz 300 'ADENAUER' Cabriolet D

This 1953 Mercedes-Benz 300 Cabriolet D is a largely original example that represents an exciting opportunity for its next loving owner to acquire one of the marques most iconic automobiles. Black with tan leather interior and black soft-top. 6-cylinders with twin Solex carburetors, mated to a column-shifted four-speed manual gearbox. A mechanically sound and nearly-presentable car that can be used as-is or restored to your heart's desire. The interior was refreshed around 2000 and the engine was rebuilt in 2016 with replacement pistons, bearings, and gaskets. The car has been recently serviced and runs and drives well but would certainly benefit from cosmetic recomissiong at this time. It will need a repaint as the paint is tired and showing its age. The soft-top is newer and in good condition. Offered with its original factory books. The 300 Cabriolet D was among the most expensive and luxurious cars available on the German market. Furthermore the Cabriolet D was one of the rarest body-styles to grace a Mercedes-Benz chassis. Its convertible sedan setup was typically reserved for heads of state and board members. One of Mercedes-Benz's first all-new designs of the post-war era, the 300 debuted at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 1951 and would succeed in re-establishing the Stuttgart firm in the front ranks of prestige car manufacturers, marking a return to the Mercedes tradition of building high-performance luxury automobiles. Custom built by Mercedes-Benz's most experienced craftsmen, the 300 was luxuriously appointed and trimmed with materials of the highest quality. Fast and elegant, it was one of very few contemporary vehicles capable of carrying six passengers in comfort at sustained high speeds. It was the car of choice among West German government officials, and throughout Europe and the USA was widely favored by businessmen, financiers and politicians. Indeed, 'Adenauer' became the 300 saloon/limousine's unofficial model name, after German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer, its most famous customer. The 300 Cabriolet d version was among the world's most expensive automobiles of its day.
